Producer, Commercial

The roots of this independent agency started well over 100 years ago. We are well established in the state of CT, with a track record of success and plans for continued growth. Due to this growth, we have an immediate opening for a Commercial Producer to join our team.

Candidates should have at least 5 years of commercial sales and marketing experience and a P&C license is desired. Lines of business include property, GL, worker’s comp, auto and umbrella.

Company offers a base salary plus a generous NB/Renewal commission, with a potential of up to 70%. Company also provides 100% for employee’s health insurance. Working remote will be a consideration for the most qualified of candidates.

Commercial Lines Assistant

Searching for a part time employee with Commercial Lines Insurance experience preferred. Ideal candidate will work with our team of sales professionals on a daily basis completing applications, reviewing policies and proposals, as well as Commercial Lines quoting on carrier systems and other computer based tasks. Position will be a minimum of 20 hours per week and hours can be flexible.

Personal Lines Marketing Position

We have a current opening in our Torrington/Enfield office Personal Lines Department for a licensed Insurance Professional with a minimum of 3 years experience. The position focuses on the Marketing of our inhouse clients – reviewing their insurance exposures & needs, complete quotations, applications and agency forms. The ideal candidate will hold a current Connecticut P & C license, have strong technical skills with Comparative raters and Microsoft programs including Word, Excel and Outlook. Training will be provided on Agency Procedures, Marketing appetites and Agency Management System. Insurance Designations indicate a strong desire for personal growth.

Full Time position includes Health Benefits, 401K, Vacation & paid Insurance Continuing Education courses.

Account Manager, SBU

Commercial Account Manager in charge of a book of business for Accounts $30k in premium and lesser. Includes, but not limited to, Processing New and Renewal Commercial Policies; ensuring coverages are correct and appropriate for customer needs, advising clients on available coverages for risks and rounding accounts, providing Producers with information and documentation to support sales, knowledge of and interaction with many Commercial Insurance Carriers, Processing Endorsements, Audits, Cancellations, Reinstatements, Evidences of Insurance, and daily customer service needs, including billing inquiries, change requests, and coverage inquiries. Also includes remarketing of current policies with alternative Carriers based on Agency premium increase thresholds, client requests, and Producer requests.

Applicant must hold a current P&C license or be willing to acquire one within first months of hire, and will pursue continuing education as mandated by the CT Insurance Department. Applicant must have strong technical skills with Microsoft programs including Word, Excel, and Outlook and experience with internal Management Systems is a plus. Applicant must also have a strong background in Customer Service and be comfortable with a Team Oriented work environment.
